Scotland Elementary in Ridgefield Names New Interim Principal
Michael Pisseri, who was hired by the district in November, has withdrawn his acceptance of the position.
RIDGEFIELD, CT — The school district has named Dr. Alison Villanueva as interim principal of Scotland Elementary School, effective immediately. Michael Pisseri, who was hired by the district in November, has withdrawn his acceptance of the position.
Villanueva will replace outgoing Scotland principal William Santarsiero who was hired in August.
"With sound leadership and a clear vision, my goal is to collaboratively maintain a safe and welcoming school environment dedicated to an inclusive world-class education for each and every student at SES," Villanueva wrote in a letter to the community posted online on Friday. "We will work together to continue the legacy of distinction and commitment to our students by ensuring high quality teaching and learning that is engaging, relevant and personalized."
