Two Ridgefield Natives Killed in Plane Crash

Two Colgate University students from Ridgefield died Sunday afternoon in a plane crash in New York, the university said in a statement.

Cathryn ‘Carey’ Depuy and Ryan Adams, both of Ridgefield died in the plane crash after taking off from Hamilton Municipal Airport in Hamilton, N.Y.

Counseling is available for those students affected by the incident.

In light of the event, Colgate is canceling some of Monday’s campus events. A community vigil will be held at Colgate Memorial Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
