Unlocked In Ridgefield: 8 Weekend Vehicle Break-Ins, 1 Theft

Police say a 2015 Audi was swiped from a Ridgefield driveway early Sunday morning, and 8 more unlocked vehicles were broken into.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Nine vehicles were either stolen or broken into in Ridgefield this past weekend.

The Ridgefield Police Department is reporting that a 2015 blue Audi A4 2.0 was stolen from a St. Johns Road driveway between 3:50-6:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Around the same time, "approximately eight" vehicles were entered on Soundview Road, according to Capt. Jeff Raines.

The thief stole a laptop charger before being scared off by the homeowner, Raines said.

The police have indicated that all the incidents appear to be connected, and none of the vehicles were locked.
