U.S. News Ranks Ridgefield High School Among Top Schools in Connecticut
The rankings were released on Tuesday.
The verdict is out on the top high schools in Connecticut after U.S. News & World Report released their rankings Tuesday.
Several schools in Fairfield County made the list, including Ridgefield High School.
The latest rankings put the school at No. 11 in the state.
Rankings are based on student to teacher ratios, college readiness with regard to Advanced Placement exam scores, and proficiency in mathematics and English.
Of the 58 percent of Ridgefield students who take AP exams, 55 percent of them pass, according to the report. About 97 percent of students are proficient in math and 98 percent are proficient in English.
Ridgefield High has a 14:1 student to teacher ratio. The school also received a national rank of 50 for STEM.
