Swizzles opened in Ridgefield in July 2011 as a premium frozen yogurt shop.  Located at 424 Main Street, Swizzles has recently transformed itself into a place for a healthy lunch by adding soups, salads and a Greek yogurt bar.

As founder/owner Adam Kessner explains it, “Our customers wanted more than frozen yogurt. I introduced items that portray my passion for a healthy lifestyle. If I could add exercise equipment, it would be perfect.” Of the eight Swizzles locations, the Ridgefield shop is the first to offer more than frozen yogurt.

In addition to many flavors of frozen yogurt and toppings, Swizzles now offers three flavors of gluten-free, all-natural soup, including Chipotle Sweet Potato. Diners can choose a crafted salad off the menu or create their own. “My team will add all the fresh ingredients and chop the salad,” said Mr. Kessner, who believes “chopped salads are much better because they give you several flavors in one bite.”

As to the Greek yogurt, Swizzles hired a private chef to help select the toppings, which include honey, nuts, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and coconut.

Swizzles donates a portion of its profits to Steve’s Camp at Horizon Farms, which is dedicated to providing a unique summer camp experience for underserved New York City youth.
