Woodcock Nature Center Needs Materials for Wreath Festival
The wreath festival runs Dec. 2-13, 2014.

From the Woodcock Nature Center:
It’s that time of year again! We need as much help as possible gathering natural materials for our annual Wreath Festival! Many items you can find in your own backyard, especially PINECONES! Dry materials can be dropped at the office steps. For a full list of items needed, click here.
We would LOVE to have as much help as possible gathering these materials. They can be dropped off at our center – please make sure that they are dry when they arrive.

Please DO NOT bring Bittersweet vines or berries!
We’re pretty much happy to take anything with color, texture, or interesting shape. Now is the time that many people are clearing their flower gardens, so we’d love to have those seed pods and dried flower buds, etc.!

About Woodcock Nature Center
The creation of the Woodcock Preserve was the inspiration of J.M. Woodcock, a visionary Ridgefield resident who donated the core 5 acres for a meeting hall and staff quarters. Today, with an unspoiled habitat of over 140 acres, the Woodcock Nature Center offers year-round activities and a natural tranquility and beauty in the heart of Fairfield County.
Woodcock has been a source of environmental and nature education since 1972. The staff, which includes three full-time naturalists, work with local youth to teach and develop programming designed to instill a love and respect for nature.
The Woodcock Nature Center receives no governmental support, so your membership, donations, and program involvement are crucial to the Center’s survival.
Please visit our Events pages, as listed in the bar at the top of this page, to learn more about our year-round offerings, and our Programs page to find out more about our extremely popular Summer Camps.
Thanks for visiting, and for your interest in the Woodcock Nature Center. We hope to see you out on our trails or visiting the Center soon!
