Wooster Tennis Selected To Prestigious New England Tournament

Tournament play starts on Saturday, May 18 for the boys and girls tennis teams!

In addition to winning the HVAL Tournament Championship, the Wooster School Varsity Boys Tennis team has been selected to compete in the prestigious Class C New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament Championship. The New England Interscholastic Tennis Association (NEITA) Team Championship is the official NEPSAC championship in boys’ tennis.

Wooster will take on Storm King School in a quarterfinal match on Saturday, May 18 at 9:30 am at Millbrook School. The winner will advance to the semifinals, also on Saturday, May 18, against the winner of the Millbrook School and Watkinson School match. Other teams participating in the tournament include St. Andrew’s School, Pingree School, Concord Academy, and Beaver Country Day School. The tournament finals will be held on Sunday, May 19 at a location to be determined.

Coming off their HVAL Tournament appearance, the Wooster School Varsity Girls Tennis team has been selected to compete in the prestigious Class D New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament. Wooster is the #4 seed and will take on #1 seed Christian Heritage School on Saturday, May 18 at 10:00 am. The winner will advance to the finals to be held on Saturday, May 18 at 3:30 pm. All matches will be played at Watkinson School.

NEPSAC was established in 1942 as an organization of athletic directors from accredited New England independent schools.
