The Ridgefield Historical Society is looking for a volunteer receptionist who could commit to three weekday afternoons (Tuesday through Thursday), for a total of 10 to 12 hours per week.
In addition to answering the phone and handling mail, the volunteer would have the opportunity to learn the history of the 1714 Scott House headquarters and be available to give tours to visitors.
Other duties would include keeping track of the gift shop inventory, ordering office supplies, and doing some light administrative work. Typing ability and knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word would be helpful.
