2 Hospitalized After Car, Moped Collide In Rocky Hill: PD

ROCKY HILL, CT — Two people were seriously injured late Sunday when their moped and a car collided, according to police.

Lt. Joseph Smith said the accident happened around 9:59 p.m. on Hayes Road near Summer Lane.

Emergency responders provided medical aid to both injured people from the moped at the accident scene and rushed them to an area hospital.

Police said Monday morning one of the victims is in stable condition and the other is in serious condition.

The operator of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police, Smith said.

The Midstate Accident Reconstruction Squad is handling the investigation due to the seriousness of the collision.
