The 4s Were the Deal for a Record Play3 Lottery Payout Friday

ROCKY HILL, CT — The combination of 4-4-4 came out in the Connecticut Lottery's Play 3 Day draw game on Friday.

Statewide, 4,120 winning wagers were sold for the Play3 Day game’s June 29 drawing.

Lottery officials said after all winning claims are presented, $1,722,750 in prize money will be paid out, making it the largest prize payout for the triple-digit number.

Since the Play3 Day game began, 4-4-4 has been drawn a total of 11 times in the daily drawing with the last combination being picked on September 11, 2015.

Because Play3 prize payouts are based upon the amount wagered, players who had 4-4-4 on their Play3 Day tickets can expect to win from $25 up to $2,500 per wager in prize money.

Though the bulk of the winners will most likely redeem their tickets in the next few days, players with winning tickets have 180 calendar days from the date of draw to collect their winnings, officials said.
