ROCKY HILL, CT – A new Mega Millions game will be launching on Oct. 28, Connecticut Lottery officials said on Thursday.
The game will feature a $2 Price Point, in an effort to yield "higher average jackpots with faster rolls, and better odds," CT Lottery officials said.
The starting jackpot for the "enriched" Mega Millions game will more than double, CT Lottery officials said.
At a $2 price point, jackpots for the game will now start at $40 Million and grow faster with minimum incremental rolls at $5 million, CT Lottery officials said. Currently, the Mega Millions jackpot starts at $15 Million.
In the redesigned game, players will get to select 5 different “white” numbers from 1 to 70, and 1 Mega Ball “yellow” number from 1 to 25, CT Lottery officials said. Previously, players could select 5 different "white" numbers from 1 to 75, and 1 Mega Ball "yellow" number from 1 to 15.
