ROCKY HILL, CT — A person was hospitalized after they fell from a roof to a second level at a construction site Wednesday afternoon in Rocky Hill, according to fire officials.
The incident was reported at 1:28 p.m. at 280 West St.
A person had fallen and needed to be removed to receive medical assistance.
Crews needed to lift the person from the second floor to the ground floor. They did so using specialized equipment, including a hoisting system attached to a truck. Crews moved the person on a stretcher at 2:13 p.m.
An ambulance transported the person, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
