House Damaged In Overnight Fire In Rocky Hill: FD

The home was unoccupied at the time, according to the fire department.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A fire broke out at a house on Silo Drive overnight, according to the fire department.

Fire officials said the house was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured.

Firefighters responded to the residence around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

When they arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire from the second-floor windows in the front of the house. Crews determined no one was inside. The fire was under control by 2:17 a.m., according to the fire department.

The fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Fire personnel from Cromwell, Newington, and Wethersfield provided mutual aid, including on-scene support and town coverage.
