• Norwich police officer charged with unlawfully collecting workers' comp after knee injury (fox61.com) — A state workers' compensation fraud case is centered in Rocky Hill, where inspectors and prosecutors with the Chief State's Attorney's office are handling charges against a Norwich police officer. Authorities say he collected disability benefits while allegedly passing a police agility test elsewhere, and the case will proceed in Norwich court while Rocky Hill remains the hub for the investigation.
   

• Light shed on Newington officer involved shooting (audacy.com) — A preliminary report from Connecticut's Inspector General details a fatal police shooting that involved officers from Hartford and Rocky Hill and ended in Newington. A 37-year-old man was killed after a pursuit, and a Rocky Hill officer was injured but later treated and released as the investigation continues.
   

• Bridgeport business owner faces workers' comp charge after employee injured at job site (fox61.com) — State officials say a Bridgeport business owner lacking valid workers' comp coverage surrendered at the Rocky Hill Police Department on August 21 and now faces a felony charge. The case, involving an employee injured at a West Haven job site, will be prosecuted by the Workers' Compensation Fraud Control Unit while the owner remains presumed innocent.
