ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill's Open Space and Conservation Commission hears plans for a natural gas pipeline under the Connecticut River to Glastonbury and a grant application to buy open space, and the Economic Development Commission reviews business incentives.

1. Gas Pipeline Under The Connecticut River, Open Space Grant
When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6 p.m.

What to know: The Open Space and Conservation Commission will discuss Algonquin Gas Transmission's plan, with SWCA Environmental Consultants, to install a new 30-inch pipeline crossing the Connecticut River from Rocky Hill to Glastonbury using trenchless technology, with construction anticipated in 2028, according to the agenda. Commissioners will also discuss a resolution authorizing the town to apply for a state DEEP open space and watershed land acquisition grant to buy land for open space and passive recreation.

2. EDC Reviews Business Incentives, Greyfield Program
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6 p.m.
Where: Town Council Chambers, Town Hall (second floor), 761 Old Main St.
What to know: The Economic Development Commission will get an update on the town's Business Incentive Program, review its work plan and hear the economic development coordinator's report on the Greyfield Revitalization Program, social media and business updates, according to the agenda. 5. Overnight Paving On Silas Deane Highway
When: Sunday through Thursday nights, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Where: Silas Deane Highway
What to know: Burns Construction, the MDC's water main contractor, has been milling and paving Silas Deane Highway overnight from the north side of the Interstate 91 interchange to Mill Street in Wethersfield, according to the town.
