Rocky Hill Democratic Town Committee Endorses Chris Murphy for U.S. Senate

The Rocky Hill Democratic Town Committee voted unanimously Thursday evening to endorse Fifth District Congressman Chris Murphy for the Democratic nomination for United States Senator. 

Several members who spoke on behalf of Murphy emphasized the need for a lawmaker who is familiar with the legislative process so that he can "hit the ground running" as a newly elected Senator and pointed out that Murphy has the needed experience, having served four terms in the Connecticut General Assembly and is now completing his third term as a member of the United States House of Representatives.

Murphy is seeking the Senate seat being vacated by retiring United States Senator Joseph Lieberman.
