- The Eastern Chamber Singers at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season of performance. The Chamber Choir is a vocal ensemble comprised of 20-25 auditioned singers from departments throughout the University. Among the singers is Christiana Montalbano of Rocky Hill, who majors in New Media Studies and Music and sings Alto. She also sings Alto with the Concert Chorale.

- Cameron Clarke of Rocky Hill was named to the full-time President's List for the fall 2018 semester. Rocky Hill residents Merita Hoxha, John Vasel and Margaret Vassilopoulos all made the part-time President's List. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
- Dean's List honorees from Rocky Hill for the fall 2018 semester at MCC are Sydney Aberbach, Angel Aguirre, Christina Braun, Damian Czubat, Alexia Gooden, Austin Pavelec, Megan Ritchie, Jenna Rudewicz, Narcisa Sahanic, Nickolas Santos, Glenn Simons, Michael Simons, Eric Soderstrom, Caroline Sullivan, Melissa Trojanowski, Joseph Twigg and Samuel Twigg. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
