Notable of the Month -William Glackens (1870–1938)
William Glackens,
a native of Philadelphia, attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts where he studied under Robert Henri. In 1895, Glackens and Henri headed to Europe to study in Paris and Holland. The following year they returned to the U. S. and settled in New York City.
