Barbara (Murray) Griswold: Worked for the Family Business, Sunny Crest Farm

Barbara (Murray) Griswold of Rocky Hill died October 6, 2015.

She was born on March 16, 1920, to Clifford and Olive Murray.

She was the beloved wife of 49 years, to the late Richard M. Griswold.

Barbara was a dedicated life long member of the Rocky Hill Methodist Church. Her career included working along side her husband, doing billing for the family business, Sunny Crest Farm. She also worked for the R.H.H.S. lunch program. She was involved with the Rocky Hill Grange and loved to square dance, make quilts, handicrafts, sew, travel and spend time at their winter home in Florida.

She leaves behind her loving family which includes three sons, Richard and wife, Evelyn, Robert and wife, Susan, Gerald and wife, Patricia, sisters, Roberta Dalenta and Evelyn Danforth, seven grandchildren, Gayle McGowan, Colleen Budaj, Michael Griswold, Beth Roccapriore, Shannon Brancieri, Katherine Griswold, Christine Griswold, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Donald Murray.

A memorial service will be held at the Rocky Hill Methodist Church, 623 Old Main St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067 on Friday, October 9 at 11:30am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
