Police have evacuated the Walmart at 970 Torringford Street, and will possibly evacuate Price Chopper stores, as well as McDonald's, at the corner of Torringford and East Main streets in Torrington, CT, after a report shortly before 5:30 p.m. today, November 18, 2013, of someone threatening to detonate a device at Walmart.
Police have blocked off the exits and entrances to Walmart and people are prevented from entering the parking lot.
State police troopers are assisting city police in turning passing motorists away. (According to the RepublicanAmerican, rep-am.com)
