April Update

Spring is on its way -- we hope! As the weather begins to warm and the trees start to bloom, we invite you to experience the beauty and tranquility of our historic grounds.

Notable Trees

In early spring, the Weeping Higan Cherrywill be a cascade of pink blossoms. Cedar Hill boasts several examples of this beautiful tree, including the Connecticut State Champion. Located on Section 4 (and pictured here), this grafted specimen measured 45 feet high and 119 inches in circumference when last assessed in 2012.

Guide by Cell Audio Tour

Cedar Hill is delighted to offer a Guide by Cell Audio Tour. The tour provides a general overview of our historic cemetery along with information about 24 of our most notable residents, including J. P. Morgan whose memorial is pictured here.

A brochure with map and instructions may be found in the information box near the entrance of the cemetery.
