Code Your Own Video Game Online With Makecode Arcade, Hosted By Belden Library
This virtual, two-day workshop series is for kids age 8 and older.

In this virtual two day workshop series from Microsoft Store Westfarms, students eight and older use block-based coding to create a video game with MakeCode Arcade. Students learn fundamental game and coding concepts like sprites, variables, and coordinates, and use their new skills to create and customize a playable game. By the end of the two day workshop, students will have: - Learned and used key game design and coding concepts- Coded a playable game- Published their game via a URL so they can continue to play and develop it after the campThis virtual program will take place online using Microsoft Teams. The meeting is accessible for free through your browser, so there’s no additional download required to join. The MakeCode workshop also requires access to the arcade.makecode.com website during the session for students to work on their codes.
