CT Lottery Scratch Game Ends Because Of Ticket Problems

Complications with tickets have ended a CT Lottery scratch game and a new one has been put in its place, officials said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — CT Lottery officials Wednesday announced the abrupt end to a scratch game.

The 5X the Money 15th Edition game was ended Wednesday "due to difficulties in scratching the play area," CT Lottery officials said.

CT Lottery officials said that all outstanding winning tickets for the game — including top prizes — must be validated no later than Nov. 21.

As the 15th edition was ending, the CT Lottery was adding its successor. The 16th edition of the scratch game began Wednesday, CT Lottery officials said.

Tickets cost $5 and the top prize is $50,000.

In all, 5,186,200 and the overall odds of winning a prize is 1 in 3.63.
