At a Mom2Mom sale, moms rent tables to sell new and gently used maternity items, children's clothing (infant through preteen), toys, games, DVDs, sporting equipment, and other assorted items to other moms (and dads and grandparents) from the general public. Shoppers can get a wide variety of merchandise at a fraction of the cost of retail.
Specialy vendors will also be on hand selling brand-new items such as taggie blankets, tutus, hair bows, crayon wraps, and more. In addition, a Large Item Area will be set up for things like strollers, high chairs, and pack-and-plays, giving parents the chance to compare the condition and price of similar items right in one spot.
If shoppers get hungry, they can visit a snack bar with light breakfast and lunch foods for purchase.

Cathy Evans, coordinator of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Mom2Mom Sale, says, "It really is a win-win for all involved. The sale is a fundraiser for the organizer, the sellers get rid of no-longer-needed items and make some pocket change in the process, and buyers can get great deals on items they need for their children."
Evans moved to this area from Michigan, where Mom2Mom sales are common. She says she hopes they will catch on here. "With our earlier-than-normal warm temps, now is a great time to clean out closets, basements and garages and sell [the items] at a Mom2Mom sale.”
