School Vacation Programs at Dinosaur State Park

Dinosaur State Park will sponsor a series of programs for families during February school vacation week. Programs will be offered on Feb 18, 19 and from 21 to 26. The museum is closed on Feb. 20. The following programs will be available:

View a Film
Three different movies are shown each day, with seven show times beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. The noon film will be Evolution with Bill Nye.

Make a Craft 
Visitors can make a DNA bracelet to take home in the craft area, open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bracelet replicates a segment of DNA from different animals using multi-colored beads.

Meet the Animals!
Animal demonstrations will take place daily at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Track Talks 
What was Connecticut like in the early Jurassic period? Come and find out! Each day at 11:30 a.m., a staff member will answer that question, as well as questions about dinosaur tracks.


LIVE HAWK AND OWL PROGRAM - Thursday, February 23, 1 p.m.
Join Sharon will share her knowledge about the living descendants of theropod dinosaurs. Seating is limited to 100. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the show.
