Tags and Treasures Sale

Calling all vintage collectors and antique aficionados!

The historic Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum is hosting the two-day 2012 Tags and Treasures Sale in Old Wethersfield.

For more than 40 years, the Tags and Treasures Sale has been organized by the Connecticut chapter of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA). The bi-annual event features hundreds of household items, including small furniture, basement bargains, vintage pieces, and historic estate items from some of Connecticut's oldest families.

The sale is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 1.

A bag sale begins at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Shoppers fill shopping bags provided by the museum with sale items for only $3 per bag.

Among the treasures to be found at this year's sale are glass, sterling silver, china, linens, fine jewelry and books--all donated by the Colonial Dames, who maintain the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum. The money raised from the Tags and Treasures Sale, the museum's largest fundraiser, supports the operation and educational programs of the museum.
