Fire Breaks Out At Rocky Hill Home

ROCKY HILL, CT — A fire damaged a Rocky Hill home Monday afternoon, according to fire officials.

Crews responded to the call reporting a fire at a Heather Hill home at 3:28 p.m.

They arrived at the address and found a two-story fire with smoke showing from the roof and eaves.

Firefighters searched the home and found no one inside.

Crews used hose lines to extinguish the blaze. They also vented the roof to allow heat and smoke to exit the home. Firefighters knocked down the fire at 4:04 p.m.

Crews then searched for areas where the fire had spread. They also metered the home for hazardous gases.

There were no injuries to first responders.
