Identical Three Numbers Set Record For CT Lottery Combo Payout
A winning combo has set a record for a CT Lottery combo payout.
ROCKY HILL, CT — Monday's winning Connecticut Lottery Play3 Day number came out as 8-8-8 and blasted the previous record for that combination's payout.
Statewide, a total of 2,742 winning wagers were sold for the Play3 Day game’s April 15 drawing, CT Lottery officials said. After all winning tickets are presented for claim, $1,129,000 in prize money will be paid out by the CT Lottery, officials said.
Prior to Monday's drawing, the largest prize payout for the number 8-8-8 was $579,325.

Since the Play3 Day game began, 8-8-8 has been drawn a total of four times in the daily drawing with the last combination being picked on Jan. 30, 2013.
Because Play3 prize payouts are based upon the amount wagered, players who had 8-8-8 on their Play3 Day tickets can expect to win from $25 up to $2,500 per wager in prize money, officials said.

Players with winning tickets have 180 calendar days from the date of draw to collect their winnings. High-Tier Claim Centers are able to cash CT Lottery prizes up to $5,000.
Play3 Day drawings are held daily at 1:57 p.m. Tickets cost from 50 cents to $5.
