The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Homelessness

CCEH Silas Deanne Highway

A large number of people experiencing homelessness have also experienced or are currently experiencing domestic violence.

CCEH is partnering with CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) to offer The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Homelessness to homeless services providers and domestic violence service providers in an effort to better serve survivors.
This training will outline the parallel paths of individuals impacted by either homelessness and/or domestic violence and highlight where they intersect. The three-hour session will provide basic information on the dynamics of domestic violence to homeless services providers, followed by a discussion with local domestic violence services providers on how to better collaborate in your community.

This free training will take place on March 23 and April 1. Participants must register in advance on the CCADV website. When registering, please use the code HP2014.

The first is on March 23, 2015 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at CCADV, 912 Silas Deane Highway, Lower Level, Wethersfield.

The next is on April 1, 2015 from 10:00 am-1:00pm at the Center for Family Justice, 753 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport.
