Local Students Commended by National Merit Scholarship Program

Two Rocky Hill students are among seven honored at Northwest Catholic High School.

The National Merit Scholarship Program has commended seven Northwest Catholic High School seniors because of their exceptional performance on the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) last year as juniors. Among the top performers were two students from Rocky Hill.

Ryan and Sean Murphy, both members of the Northwest Catholic High class of 2013, were recognized as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program. They earned this honor by scoring among the top five percent of all 1.5 million students who took the standardized exam.
