Man Dead After Motorcycle Crash In Rocky Hill: Police
The crash happened at an intersection Thursday afternoon, according to local police.
ROCKY HILL, CT — A motorcycle operator was killed Thursday afternoon in Rocky Hill following a collision with another vehicle, Rocky Hill police said.
The Rocky Hill Police Department, in a statement Thursday evening, said it will not release any additional information on the male victim.
At about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the RHPD received several 911 calls reporting a motorcycle collision with a vehicle in the area of Cromwell Avenue and Cold Spring Road.

This resulted in police, the Rocky Hill Fire Department and Aetna Ambulance to dispatch units to the scene, police said.
Initially, it was reported the motorcycle operator suffered serious injuries and responders were administering care to the ride, who was transported to a nearby hospital, police said.

According to police, the motorcycle operator died "as a result of his injuries after life-saving efforts were made at the local hospital."
Meanwhile, the RHPD said the operator of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
According to police, the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Cromwell Avenue with the motor vehicle exiting a parking area at 950 Cromwell Ave.
Police said the collision occured at the intersection of Cromwell Avenue and Cold Spring Road.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene due to the severity of the crash and is investigating the incident, police said.
