Motorcycle Rider Hurt in Rocky Hill Crash

Police are investigating a Tuesday night crash on a busy road in Rocky Hill.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Police are investigating a Tuesday night crash on a busy road in Rocky Hill.

At about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Rocky Hill police received several 911 calls about a two-vehicle crash on the Silas Deane Highway in the area of the Saybrook Fish House.

One vehicle was a motorcycle, police said.

Police, fire and medical personnel responded to the scene and found the operator of the motorcycle with serious injuries and he was transported to an area hospital, according to a report.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured, police said.

Silas Deane Highway was closed into the nighttime hours between Elm Street and Parsonage Street.
