Motorist Rescued From Vehicle Dangling On Retaining Wall In Rocky Hill: FD
The fire department had to stabilize the vehicle to extricate the driver, officials said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — It was a tricky rescue for local firefighters this week after a driver’s vehicle got stuck dangling on a retaining wall after an accident.
The Rocky Hill Fire Department was dispatched Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. to an accident at 867 Cromwell Ave.
The vehicle had traveled over an embankment and was stuck on top of the retaining wall on adjacent property, with the driver still inside, officials said.

When firefighters arrived, they saw the vehicle was being partially supported by a fence on the top of the retaining wall.
Emergency responders stabilized the vehicle using rescue jacks and cables.

They were then able to extricate the occupant, who was transferred to emergency medical service personnel for evaluation.
No one was injured, fire officials said.
