Board of Education to hear concerns over education cuts

According to Joseph Leal who is always well informed about school topics, both Nature’s Classroom and the 8th grade Washington DC trip are potentially targeted to be eliminated after this year.

Residents are being encouraged to attend the the next Board of Ed meeting on June 14th at 7pm in the Town Council Chambers. People can voice their concerns to the board members and hear why these cuts are being considered at the same time that the local school budget is being increased.

Some 8th graders who have recently returned from the Washington DC trip and their parents are expected to share their experiences and opinions. Mr. Leal has asked that residents who are concerned about losing this educational opportunity come to the Board of Ed meeting.
