New Board Game Benefits Project Graduation, Chamber Businesses

Rocky Hill organizations will be selling a "Rockyhillopoly" game in November and currently, the chamber of commerce is looking for businesses interested in advertising on the board.

 

The along with volunteers from and other local organizations will be a selling a board featuring town attractions and chamber businesses as a chance to drive commerce and promote social capital. 

The board game is called "Rockyhillopoly," which is similar to the well-known childrens' game by a similar name. The rules and game play are similar as well.

Accoridng to chamber Vice President Mary Thielke, the game, which will be sold for $20, will be available for purchase sometime in November. However, right now the chamber is asking any interested local businesses to purchase space on the board.

To buy space on the board, the business must be a member of the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce. 

"I think it is a novelity item," Thielke said. "I think it is a neat thing to play with
your kids while promoting local businesses and town attractions. It is different.
And the money goes back into the town."
