Nutmeg Celebrates New Location, First in New Haven County

Orange Chamber of Commerce members as well as the town’s Economic Development Fund representatives, and other Credit Union professionals, joined Nutmeg staff to celebrate their first branch location within New Haven County.

This location continues the evolutionary look and vision for the credit union. Nutmeg remains committed to staying on top of industry and technological trends. Complete with tablet kiosks, the helpful staff are available to educate members on Nutmeg’s banking technology. These services include their website, online e-Banking and e-Services as well as their mobile app. These digital platforms allow members to open accounts, apply for loans, deposit checks, pay bills, check balances and more. Nutmeg continues to bring these e-Services to all members, 24/7 online and through app-enabled devices.

While the trend towards technology persists, Nutmeg continues to find a need for brick-and-mortar locations, focusing their branches on technology and educating their members on ease of use for these services. Nutmeg continues to expand throughout the state of Connecticut. Earlier this year, Housatonic Teachers Financial Credit Union merged with Nutmeg, opening its membership base to the towns of Bridgeport, Stratford, and Shelton within Fairfield County. In 2018, the credit union expects to open a new location in Southington.
