Plenty Of Players Joined The CT Lottery Millionaires Club In 2018

ROCKY HILL, CT – A plethora of players joined the Connecticut Lottery millionaires club in 2018. According to CT Lottery statistics, winning tickets cashed in during the calendar year worth at least $1 million totaled 16.

Most were claimed by individuals, but some involved trusts or "lottery clubs" involving many players. Here's a look at the seven-figure winners cashed in for 2018, their hometowns, where the tickets were purchased, the games played and the winning prizes. Statistics were furnished by the CT Lottery:

Another could join the millionaires club in early 2019. CT Lottery officials said a winning Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million was sold Christmas morning at Avenue News, lolcated at 821 Farmington Ave. in Bristol.

The winning numbers drawn on Dec. 25 were 2 - 8 - 42 - 43 - 50. The Mega Ball was 6, and the Megaplier was 3. The winning ticket holder matched the first "white" ball numbers drawn, but missed the Mega Ball number. Because the ticket was purchased with the Megaplier feature added, the $1 million prize was automatically multiplied by three for $3 million.

All draw game tickets expire 180 calendar days from the draw date.

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The overall odds of winning a Mega Millions prize are 1 in 24.0. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
