As Practice Opens, a Look at Rocky Hill Fall State Championships

ROCKY HILL, CT — Thursday marks the official opening of practice for fall high school sports, and the first day gives every team hope and optimism that perhaps a state championship is in the cards.

A total of 11 Rocky Hill teams have captured state titles in fall sports in the past:

• boys soccer (8): 1999 (M), 1994 (M), 1988 (S), 1980 (S), 1979 (S), 1976 (S), 1975 (S), 1967 (S)
• girls soccer (2): 1999 (S), 1996 (S)
• girls volleyball (1): 2011 (M)
