Rocky Hill Gym Teacher Placed on Leave Following Rape Charges

A Rocky Hill elementary school gym teacher and football coach was put on leave after school administrators learned that he had been indicted on rape charges in June.
School administrators learned of the allegations on Dec. 16 against Bryan MacDonald, 22, according to WFSB. He was placed on leave the same day.
MacDonald is a former quarterback at Rocky Hill Hill School. He was indicted on charges of raping a woman in Springfield during June, according to the Hartford Courant.

He was hired by the school system on June 9. MacDonald is the son of town Councilman William MacDonald, according to the Courant.
MacDonald works at Stevens Elementary School and is an assistant football coach at Rocky Hill High School.
