Rocky Hill Man Killed In Crash On I-91: State Police

The driver was ejected from the vehicle during a collision with a tractor-trailer, according to police.

CROMWELL, CT — A 55-year-old Rocky Hill man was killed in a crash with a tractor-trailer on I-91 North in Cromwell on Friday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

Dzevat Cecunjamin, of West Street, was ejected from his 2003 Honda Odyssey during the collision and sustained fatal injuries, according to police. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m.

Police said the tractor-trailer was traveling in the center lane on I-91 North and began to move into the right lane.

The vehicle operated by Cecunjamin was stopped in the right shoulder near Exit 22 and then accelerated directly into the right lane from the shoulder, according to police.

While within the right lane, the tractor-trailer struck the rear of Cecunjamin’s vehicle, which was redirected into the right shoulder where it collided into the metal beam guardrail, according to police. Cecunjamin was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.
