
America Serafina (Lauri) Lorenzetti, 92, of Rocky Hill, wife of the late Orlando Lorenzetti, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Maple View Health & Rehab.
Born in Fano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Vienna (Carboni) Lauri. America immigrated to the USA in 1954. A highly skilled seamtress, she designed and tailored clothing for family, friends and clients. She sewed for the Goodyear Company, Sage-Allen and Mariella Creations.
In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, camping and cooking. Devoted to her family at home and abroad she will be dearly missed, and remembered by those who knew her as a most giving and caring person who tended to the needs of others.

America leaves two daughters, Laura Lorenzetti of Yarmouth, ME and Rita Langan of Windsor, sons-in-law, Peter Reaman and John Langan, her brother, Vittorio Lauri of Fano, Italy, sister, Rita DiCarlo of Giullianova, Italy; grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, Justin and Laura and several nieces and nephews in Italy and the USA.Along with her parents and husband, America was predeceased by her brother, Americo Lauri of Fano, Italy and Eligia (Licia) Scarrozzo of Cromwell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 am at Saint John Church, 5 Saint John Court, Cromwell. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations in America's memory may be made to The Carrot Project, 2 Belmont Terrace, Somerville, MA 02143.
