Rocky Hill Obituary: Audrey Bronowitz, 88

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey B. Bronowitz. Audrey died on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Hospice care at Middlesex Hospital.

Born on January 31, 1929 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Claire M. Burton. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Sol Bronowitz, brother Raymond F. Burton, Jr. and sister Beverly B. Lees.

Audrey was employed at Connecticut Mutual and retired after a 40 year career as a medical secretary. During retirement, she worked at Richard Wrubel Clothing Store in Wethersfield and volunteered at the Wethersfield Methodist Church. She also volunteered for over 50 years working Mondays at the Hartford Hospital front desk.

Audrey is survived by her older sister Jacqueline V. Almquist and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her niece Diane wishes to thank those who assisted her in caring for Audrey while she was in the Alzheimer's Wing at Emeritus/Brookdale Rocky Hill since 2012. The family gives heartfelt gratitude towards Middlesex Hospital Hospice for their compassionate care, kindness and support.

Friends and family are welcome to call at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:00am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am and burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
