Rocky Hill Obituary: Barbara Campbell, 75

Barbara (Jackson) Campbell, 75, of Wethersfield, formerly of Simsbury, wife of the late Kenneth Guy Campbell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Rocky Hill.

She was born April 2, 1942 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Norman and Alberta (Maffitt) Jackson and had lived in Simsbury for most of her life. Barbara was a graduate of Simsbury High School, Class of 1960. She was a member of the Simsbury United Methodist Church. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, walking, traveling and spending time in Rhode Island.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Contenta and her husband David of Wethersfield and Kimberly Ruby and her husband Kevin of Melrose Massachusetts; her grandchildren, Lauren and Paige Contenta and Ella and Andrew Ruby; brother Robert Jackson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Jerry Ellis and sister-in-law, Ruth Ohleweiler.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Tuesday, August 22nd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service, 11:30 AM at the Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will follow in Simsbury Cemetery.
