Rocky Hill Obituary: Concettina Siwik, 93

Concettina R. Siwik, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Chester J. Siwik, peacefully passed away Friday (January 6, 2017) at Hartford Hospital.

Born in Hartford on May 20, 1923, daughter of the late Salvator Rizza and Margaret (Ferrero) Rizza. She had lived in Newington for 40 years and had lived in Vernon before moving to Rocky Hill. Concettina worked for Travelers in Hartford for 38 years. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, especially on family vacations to the Island of Aruba.

She leaves two daughters, Valerie Nagy and her husband Ronald of Cromwell and Lisa Fleury and her husband Thomas of South Windsor; Thomas's mother, Anne Crawford of Vernon; as well as many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Karen Boulais of Vero Beach, FL. Concettina was predeceased by her brothers, Salvator and Anthony Rizza and a sister, Lucy Morris.

All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor. Private burial will be held in the State Veteran Cemetery, Middletown. There are no calling hours.
