Daniel J. Gidzinski, 87 of Hartford, formerly of Cromwell, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
Dan was born and raised in Hartford, where he was the youngest of seven children. He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. For anyone who was willing to listen, Dan had many good stories to tell about his time as an enlisted man.
He later worked as an electrician and ultimately retired from Peter Frasse Steel Co., serving as shop foreman where he ran a tight and safe "ship".

In February of 2017, Dan made a new home in Hartford at The Retreat, an assisted living facility where he was endeared by everyone he met. As Dan loved nothing more than a good home-cooked meal and a family gathering, he never missed a Sunday gathering at his sister-in-law Connie's.
