Rocky Hill Obituary: Lucy Rizzo, 57

Lucy Rizzo, 57, of Rocky Hill, loving wife of Richard C. Rizzo, Jr. for 28 years, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

She was born October 24, 1958 in Long Island, New York and is the daughter of Antonio and Antoinetta (Guerrera) Romanelli. Lucy was the office manager at the R.C. Rizzo Construction Co. and prior to that Lucy was a beautician. She was a graduate of Newington High School, Class of 1977. She enjoyed traveling but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her daughter, Bianca Rizzo; her brother, Nicolino Romanelli, her father-in-law; Richard C. Rizzo, Sr., her brothers-in-law, Marc Anthony Rizzo and Nicholas Rizzo as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Sophia Rizzo and sister-in-law, Theresa Rizzo.

Funeral service will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel.
