Rocky Hill Obituary: Mary-Rose Ingalls, 89

Condolences to her family and friends.

Mary-Rose (Touchette) Ingalls, 89, of Rocky Hill, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Ingalls.

Born in Quebec, Canada, she lived in Newington for many years and was a member of Holy Spirit Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and was active in the Ladies Guild. Mary-Rose and her late husband, Richard, were co-founders of Newington Electric Co., in 1957.

She enjoyed square dancing with the "Rip Snorters" and camping at Cards Camp in Rhode Island during the summer months. Mary-Rose was an excellent homemaker, seamstress, cook, baker and was "famous" for her pies.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she leaves her beloved Mike Aloisi of Andover, MA, her children: Edward Ingalls of Avon, Doreen and her husband Lawrence Wood of South Windsor, Linda and her husband Thomas Spazian of Rocky Hill, her seven grandchildren: Lynn-Marie, Lawrence, Jr., Brian, Lisa, Tommy, Lauren and Amanda, her great grandchildren: Victoria, Emily-Rose, Matthew, Richard, Olivia, Sophia and McKenzie, two sisters: Elizabeth Thorpe of Carroll, New Hampshire, Cecile Zorick of Windsor Locks, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was pre-deceased by five brothers and one sister.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Church. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
