
Robert Bruce Hadden, 83, of Rocky Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 11, 2016, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Blakeslee) Hadden for 53 years.
Born in Hartford, son of the late Andrew and Blanche (Morin) Hadden, he grew up and resided in Hartford until moving to Rocky Hill 23 years ago. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of New England Fire Systems for over 30 years.
A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he leaves his two daughters, Caroline Hadden and her fiancé Robert Baley of Oxford and Kristine Ritchie and her husband John of FL, eight grandchildren, Nichole Popores and her husband Pat of ME, Trevor Ritchie and his wife Laydelis, Dillon Ritchie and his fiancé Leydanis, Mackenzie, Destiny, Faith, Molly and Bella Ritchie, all of FL, and 6 great grandchildren, Blakeslee, Patrick and Rye Popores, and Raylan, Roan and Caden Ritchie. He also leaves his two sisters, Lynne Ross and her husband Doug of Wethersfield and Kathrine Wampler of MA, brother-in-law, Robert Blakeslee and his wife Gail of FL, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his brother Andrew Hadden.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
