The event is slated for Wednesday Sept. 26, at Rocky Hill Fire Station 1, 739 Old Main St. Specially trained officers and child safety seat technicians will provide inspections and instruction on the proper installation of child safety seats and check safety equipment for expiration dates and any recalls. Child seats will be installed and safety inspected from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Police said just one out of five car seats in Connecticut are used properly.
