Rocky Hill Police Release More Details on Saturday Fatal Motorcycle Crash

A Rocky Hill resident was involved in the crash that took place on Cromwell Avenue.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill police have identified those involved in Saturday's fatal motorcycle crash on Cromwell Avenue.

Police released the details of an accident report Tuesday. The crash took place Saturday at 4:49 p.m. on Cromwell Avenue near the Cromwell Town Line.

Upon arrival, officers found that three vehicles were involved — two motorcycles and a
passenger car — and that all the drivers operators involved were injured, according to the report.

All involved were transported to area hospitals and one of the victims died, according to the report.

The two motorcycles were traveling south and the motor vehicle was traveling north and the
collision occurred in the northbound lane, according to the report.

The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Matthew J. Lanza, 37, of Cromwell. Lanza died as a result of his injuries after being transported to Hartford Hospital, according to the report.

The second motorcyclist has been identified as Ronald A. McNeill Jr., 50, from
Middletown. McNeill’s condition is listed as stable, and he remains hospitalized, police said.

The operator of the motor vehicle has been identified as Pamela R. Hebb, 59, of
Rocky Hill. Hebb’s condition is listed as stable and she also remains hospitalized, police said.

The Mid­State Accident Reconstruction Team is continuing the investigation with assistance
from the Rocky Hill Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit.

The Rocky Hill Police Department is asking that anyone who witnessed this incident or the
